This book is ENCHANTING, a cherry on top of romancing life and your north star to follow in making your dreams come true. If you have not purchased A Fine Romance by Susan Branch, I would run and order it from her web site or Amazon (though Amazon is temporarily out of stock) and it’s already on the third printing!
A complete and thorough success! No one deserves it more than Susan. I’ve been a huge fan of hers for years, long before we had the Internet and blogs.
When it arrived early in my mail box, I twirled & whirled around and did the happy dance while my hubby looked at me as if I’d gone mad
It’s a beautiful book filled with her stunning art, recipes, where to go & stay in the English countryside, and her voyage on the Queen Mary 2. She’s a dear friend to all of us girls.
I was so thrilled when I opened the book, I knew I would treasure every page…so I ordered a “reading copy,” one that I could toss in my purse and carry with me wherever I go and save the signed one for display and treasuring.
I can escape to England with her while waiting at the doctor’s office, for a girlfriend I’m meeting for lunch or my hubby getting us ice cream.
My hubby and I will be going to her signing here in MI and getting my “reading copy” signed too. I am so a darn excited to meet her in person…don’t care if I am sick as a dog that day either…I will crawl to that bookstore!
My favorite part was reading about her trip to Beatrix Potter’s home….I adore bunnies and have rescued a good number, including my very own Peter Rabbit that recently went to bunny heaven (my beloved Cuddles, sorry no pics here it’ll make me cry).
How can anyone not adore and love Hilltop? Susan said, ”I didn’t feel like I needed to go back into the house; it was already permanently woven into the fabric of my heart.”
That’s what this books all about, heart! All of our heartstrings combined with Susan’s on this trip. If you are planning a trip to England, don’t go without it and if you are just dreaming like me…it’s a total must!
My Gal Pal in Colorado and I are planning to have phone sessions discussing each page of her book, how fun is that?
Sorry some of the pics are a bit blurry but I wasn’t going to hurt the spine of my treasured book.
Please Note: All pictures have been used from the book with Susan Branch’s permission.
I have not been compensated, in any form, for this post (from Susan or Amazon). It’s completely and utterly from my heart.
